These filters offer both amateur and professional photographers HOYA's famous quality at reasonable prices. They have coatings applied to both surfaces to suppress reflection and increase light transmission.
The Hoya Diffuser Glass Filter produces a general softening of the image and is ideal for normal portraiture. The filter surface of the Diffuser is cut in a non-regular pattern thereby producing an overall softening of the photo without affecting detail.
